Reclaimed Chestnut and Mahogany Table Lamp
I made this limited-edition table lamp from reclaimed wormy chestnut and a very special variety of African mahogany, both purchased in North Carolina. The two woods couldn’t be more opposite: the lighter chestnut has huge, defined grains, plus oxidized nail holes and smaller worm holes, and the darker mahogany is smooth and subtle, fragmented, unique grain patterns. I love this contrast and hope you will, too!
Chestnut trees are virtually extinct in the U.S., so this is a rare product!
8” harp is included; shade and bulb are not. I recommend an 8” x 8” x 8” linen shade that’s off-white or tan, and a soft white LED bulb that’s equivalent to 60 or 75 watts.
Wooden lamp: 13” H x 1-3/4” x 1-3/4”
Wooden base: 4-3/4” x 4-3/4”
Total height with fixture, 8” harp, and 8” lamp shade: 23” H
I only have one left, and that’s the one in the photos!
